Retaliation and whistleblower complaints continue to proliferate, in part, due to the relatively straightforward elements of proof. In August 2016, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission issued an updated Enforcement Guidance on Retaliation after nearly half of all charges included allegations of retaliation. This session will cover the many ways in which these claims can arise and the policies and practices needed to prevent or minimize the impact of them.
